Aims of the School

The school aims to provide a happy, caring and secure environment informed by Christian beliefs and values. Within the context of the whole curriculum, it aims for all its children;

  • to find joy in learning; to develop lively, enquiring minds; the ability to question and argue rationally and to apply themselves to tasks;

  • to be literate and numerate and to acquire and be able to use knowledge and skills relevant to their own environment and to adult life;

  • to receive high quality teaching across the curriculum and to achieve the highest standards possible;

  • to develop a reasoned set of attitudes, values and beliefs including an appreciation of other people's religious and moral values;

  • to understand the world in which they live; the way that it is managed and the interdependence of individuals, groups and nation;

  • to develop a sense of their own worth and the will and ability to contribute to the well being of others and to society as a whole.
